The story of a photographer

This header photo was one of my first photographs that I received a lot of compliments on. In fact, there is a print of it hanging up in my parent's house. I have always felt a call towards desolate landscape photos, this probably comes from living in South Dakota for 7 years. The empty landscape lends itself well to a black and white edit.

My two trips to Alaska were very important to my photography career. I was drawn to the mountains (the complete opposite of landscapes in South Dakota) and trying to capture their massive scale and beautiful colors.
